Cold Air

Mom was always happy in childhood. She always had a doll and a smile.

Fifties Girl

My mother told me lots of stories about her driving days. She got in several wrecks, messing up Grandpa's cars pretty bad. She said Grandpa never got mad or upset and just calmly said that it was expected and inevitable.

Norina and Ike Lovvorn

My mother and her wonderful husband, Ike Lovvorn.

Wedding Day

My mother married a tall, good-looking, locally famous athlete from Centralia. He was 4 years older than her and she was romantically in love. He got drafted. They went to Texas. I got born.

Norina and Clarence

Mom told me about rolling in the grass a lot as a kid. Once she said her and Mary Lou were fighting and thus arm-in-arm rolling about in the grass. They rolled in and over some fresh dog doo and the fight quickly ended as they went screaming and stinking.

Special - My Mother

She's truly one of a kind.... at least that's what I thought before I had my daughter Ariel.
